Misery

For the month of February, we are exploring the idea of obsession. To kick off the month, we are going to discuss one of Stephen King’s classic stories, the 1990 film adaptation of Misery.  The film follows a famous author who is rescued from a car crash by a fan of his novels. He soon realizes that the care he is receiving is only the beginning of a nightmare of captivity and abuse from his number one fan.  Listen to the episode as we talk about the production of this movie, the power of fandoms and the amazingness of Kathy Bates. Oh, Paul.

Where to watch it: as of February 2021, it is streaming on HBO Max, DirectTV, and HBO Amazon.
